Ta da!

Alright.  So, I've decided that for my sanity's sake, I need to pack up some clothes, grab my trusty road bike, and go find some mountains to climb.  Austin has lots of hills and everything - and the dam loop is challenging - but I thought it'd be fun to cross the Pyrenees and the Alps.  I've heard some interesting things about them so thought I'd go see for myself.  This blog will document this little adventure of mine, in lots of gory detail, probably, and hopefully will entertain anyone who decides to embark on this little adventure with me.

I'm making this trip solo, and flying from Austin to Barcelona on Tuesday, June 3rd (arriving Wednesday the 4th) and then cycling and train-riding on an unplanned route the ~1000 mile trip to Rome.  Along the way will certainly be some views, amazing cheese, and probably more than one bottle of wine.
