France Reached!

A fun thing about France is that their keyboard is WAY more weird than Spain's. That means that this is awful.

And I broke the "language selecter" thing so it's extra-confusing now.

Anyway, made it to Perpignan in like 110 km. I'm pretty sure at least 80 of that was necessary. I got a room (all they had left was a deluxe w/ my own bidet but no toilet), and now am off to see the town.

Useful things acquired today:
deodorant - adidas brand
CO2 cartridges
a second water bottle (just for you, James, I crossed the pyrenees with just one)
soap

does the water get flushed in a bidet? hmm... ps-has anyone seen your little naked people? are they kind of like fun if minimally clothed companions on your trip?

Haha I get lots of strange looks, but no comments yet about the naked people on/in my bag. Water does "flush" but you still don't use it as a toilet.

Very handy for washing, I wish I had one.

I'd love to have a conversation with an english speaker...

Love hearing your stories, you should post a map, indiana jones style, of your epic journey (in real time of course) :-)

Go go Litch! Having fun following along. Live it up!

I second that on the live map idea.

JD* I just got into Idaho with Kyle and Bray and met up with Mom and Dad and as we were heading to bed at 1:30 am Dad told me you were on your trip! Kyle wants you to know he thinks you are unbelievably brave and is so stoked for you. I am so happy to know about your trip blog and I am going to be cheering you on daily. To your many adventures and the amazing little things along the way. Take it all in! Love you! Julie, Kyle and Bray

So cooooool... we of course are getting rave reactions from everyone we tell about your ad-venture! Its as if its us doing it... so keep feeding us good lines and funny stories, we're killin 'em over here. 2 new co2 cartiges? Did you already have to use what you brought or did they confiscate them at customs?

Ride safe, be excellent and party on!!!

Sorry about the shoes!

Hmmm... Well, I got the CO2 cartriges because it took me two to fill up my tires when I arrived in Barcelona, and hadn't gotten more there. The two I brought there were fine, I'd heard mixed things (like sometimes they'll open your bike box and pull them out at the airport you originally check the bike) so had them handy and on top, but they were there when I arrived (phew).

Holy moly. Crazy day today, though.
